Joseph McCartney of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away August 21, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 89. He was born November 27, 1933, in Queens, New York, the son of James and Jane Rooney McCartney. He married Reva Young in 1962 in Tulsa, OK and worked as an Industrial Engineer for NASA. Joseph was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Joseph lived in Mountain Home for 32 years since moving from Houston, Texas.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Reva McCartney of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Veatress (Douglas) Leigh; sons, Luke McCartney, Steven (Irina) McCartney, and Phillip McCartney; and grandchildren, Ryan, Veronica, Vera, Dean, Gakuto, and Yutaka.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Entombment will be private at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum.
