Funeral service for Joseph Harry Simpson of Mountain Home will be at 2:00, Saturday at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home with North Central Arkansas Veterans Council and Honor Guards Ozark VFW #3246 officiating. Mr. Simpson died Wednesday, October 17, 2006 at Auburn Hills Nursing Home. Visitation will be from noon until service time. He was 75. He was born January 22, 1931 at Richland County, Wisconsin to Harry and Bessie Long Simpson. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and former service manager for General Motors and Chrysler Corp.. He had lived in the Mountain Home area since moving from San Luis Obispo, California in 1999. He enjoyed fishing and was a former Mason. Survivors: He is survived by a daughter Lynda Lee Simpson of California; 2 sons , Stephen Boise and Ronald Simpson of California; 1 sister, Verna Greene of Mountain Home; 1 brother, Keith Simpson of Wisconsin; Grandchildren; a niece Rebecca Scalise of Clarkridge. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lela Madge Johnson. Memorials: Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation in lieu of flowers.
