A Memorial Mass for Josephine Helen Nevers of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Saturday, July 11, 2015, at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church, with Reverend Father Christopher Okeke as Celebrant.
Josephine passed away July 6, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 101. She was born August 1, 1913, in Riverton, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Krasauskis Urbit. She married John Nevers on September 5, 1936, at Chicago, Illinois and was a homemaker. She also worked at Sears and Motorola in Chicago. Josephine lived in Mountain Home since 1971, moving from Chicago, Illinois. She was a member of the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Catholic Women's Club, Scrabble Club, Pinochle Club and South Mountain Home Extension Club.
Josephine is survived by her son, Richard (Raquel) Nevers of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Marilyn Nevers of Berkeley, CA; two half-sisters, Lillian Martin of West Frankfort, IL and Bernice Signorelli of Lisle, IL; two grandchildren, Jacquie Hatherly of McKinney, TX and John Nevers of Houston, TX and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Audrey Hatherly of McKinney, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.
Inurnment will be in the Baxter Memorial Gardens, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, Paralyzed Veterans or Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
