Joyce Wolf O?Bryon, 76, of Flippin, AR slipped into the arms of the Lord on February 24, 2011. She was surrounded by her family. Joyce was a resident of Twin Lakes Nursing Center, suffering from Alzheimers.
Joyce was born May 4, 1934, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Joseph and Alice Wolf, along with her twin sister, Joan. She graduated from West Waterloo High School in 1952. She married and later divorced Russell Goings. Together they had two daughters. Joyce was an employee of the Waterloo Waterworks for nine years and attended Immanuel Lutheran Church.
At her 25th high school reunion, Joyce reconnected with her classmate, Harold O?Bryon. They soon married and had 33 years of marriage. Together, they lived in Batavia, Illinois, where she worked for the City of Geneva for 18 years. After retiring, they moved to Flippin, Arkansas. They enjoyed years of traveling, visiting family, and recreational flying.
Lively, beautiful, funny and loving, Joyce was loved by many. The love of her husband, Harold, was the deepest. He cared for her at home until the last eight months of her life.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Harold, daughters; Barbara (Robert) Telfer, Nancy (John) Moeller, step-daughters; Amy Schmitz and Jeni O?Bryon, her grandchildren; Erin Telfer, Grace Telfer, Amber Moeller, Brittney Moeller, Donovan Schmitz, Oliver Schmitz, McKenzie O?Bryon, Isabelle O?Bryon, great-grandson, Jaydn Moeller, her twin sister, Joan and sisters; Gla Myer and Dixie Swingle.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.
