Memorial Services for Joyce Larson Stelzner of Lakeview, Arkansas, will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2010 at the Kirby and Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals with Reverend David Matteson officiating.
She died Friday, August 20, 2010 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. Joyce was born in Oak Park, IL, the daughter of Anthony and Harriett Williams Zidek. She worked as a Store Manager for Carson Pirie Scott in Matteson, Illinois. Joyce lived in Lakeview, Arkansas for 35 years moving from Orland Park, Illinois. She was a member of the Christ By the Lake Lutheran Church and an active member of the Lions Club, in which she received many awards including: Melvin Jones Fellow Award, Edward Dolstrom District Service Award, Mid-South Lions Sight and Hearing Award, Lion of the Year 1998 to 1999, and President Award 1999 to 2000.
Joyce is survived by 3 daughters - Joy (Jim) Douglas of Dayton, NV, Betty (Ken) Krois of Grants Pass, OR and Carol Straub of Shawnee, IL; one son - John (Ramona) Nieubuurt of Dayton, NV; 8 grandchildlren and special friends - Don and Lois Drake and Susan Wallace.
Memorials may be made to the Lions International or the Hospice of the Ozarks.
