A Memorial Service for Judith A. Luthin of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Tom Frase officiating. A Gathering of Friends will be from 10:00 am until time of service.
Judith passed away September 18, 2017, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 81. She was born September 20, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Emerson and Ruth Burdette Austen. She married Walter Luthin on February 20, 1960, in LaGrange, Illinois and worked as a Registered Nurse for Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, Illinois. Judith lived in Mountain Home since 1992, moving from Cary, Illinois. She was a member of the Elks and Daughters of the American Revolution and enjoyed being on the lake, searching family genealogy, playing Bridge, Mahjong and Pinochle.
Judith is survived by her two sons, Craig (Pamela) Luthin of Taylorsville, KY and Chris (Ranay) Luthin of Wilmette, IL; brother, Darby (Norma) Austen of Eberfield, IN: sister, Jane Austen of Davis, CA and three grandchildren, Jessica, Zakary and Stefanie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Burial will be in the Bronswood Cemetery, Oak Brook, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas or one's favorite charity.
