A Funeral Service for Junior Darrell Queary of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Dale Roberts officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 19, 2014, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, at the funeral home.
Junior passed away December 17, 2014, at his home in Mountain Home, Arkansas, with his wife of 49 years by his side, at the age of 68. He was born May 6, 1946, in Oakland, Arkansas, the son of A.J. and Mildred F. Ingram Queary. He attended Oakland School and graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1964. He married Geraldine Sisney on August 28, 1965, at Cotter, Arkansas and joined the Army Reserves in August of 1965. He was honorably discharged in September of 1971. He worked at Mar-Bax Shirt Company as a mechanic and spent 15 years working with the Corps of Engineers. He owned and operated two semi trailer trucks for 12 years. He and Gerry traveled 48 states, Mexico and Canada. He was successful in business and in life. He accepted Jesus as his Savior in 2006. He loved to fish, hunt and he was always happy to be scuba diving and camping with his friends Johnny and Lois Gill.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Ronald Bruton, Dr. John Ahrens and caregivers, Leslie Foy, Theresa Epps, Lisa Thurburg, Home Instead Senior Care, and Johnny and Lois Gill for the kindness they showed Junior.
Junior is survived by his wife, Gerry Queary of Mountain Home, AR; sister, Donna (Darrell) McCracken of Mountain Home, AR; niece, Ramey McCracken, nephews, Jim (Valerie) Gilbert, of Missouri, and Dave (Tracy) Gilbert, of Oakland, AR, and a host of other cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant brothers, James and Jackie Queary and brothers, Harold Queary and Fred Gilbert.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
