Karl Edward Kastendieck of Lakeview, Arkansas, passed away June 1, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80. He was born November 24, 1941, in Valley Stream, New York, the son of Karl and Dorothy Niehoff Kastendieck. Karl attended Valparaiso, IN and married Vivian VanCleef on May 15, 1965, in Valparaiso, Indiana. Karl moved to Bull Shoals, Arkansas, and owned and operated the Driftwood Resort. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bull Shoals and the local Resort Owners Association. In his limited free time he loved to fish.
Karl is survived by his son, David (Debbie) Kastendieck of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Dawn Marie (Frank) Odya of Bull Shoals, AR; sister, Jane (Brad) Sheets of Clearwater, FL; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vivian; daughter, Sylvia Revane and sons, Robert Karl Kastendieck and Charles Morris Clark.
A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 pm, Friday, June 3, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Bull Shoals with Reverend Jon Norvell officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Entombment will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to a charity of their choice.
