Funeral Services for Katherine Mae Fitts Nusch, 97, will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 13, 2012, at Kirby and Family Funeral Home Chapel with Sean Vollendorf officiating. The family will receive visitors at 1:00 pm, before the service. Katherine slept into the arms of the Lord, February 10, 2012, at her daughter's home in Little Rock. Katherine was born March 30, 1914 in Iowa Falls, Iowa. She moved to Chicago in 1934 to pursue her love of music where she met and married Helmut in 1948. In 1950 she moved to Mountain Home as an active partner with her husband and in-laws, Max and Jean Nusch operating the Cedar Grill Restaurant until 1974. She was very active in Girl Scouts, Business and Professional Women's Organizations and other civic organizations. Katherine was the choir director and served as a Deacon for many years for the First Presbyterian Church in Mountain Home. She is with the Lord, walking on streets of gold and singing praises to Him. She was preceded in death by both parents, Robert and Nora Fitts; her husband of forty-eight years, Helmut Nusch; one brother and two sisters. Her memory will be cherished by her daughters; Mary Kay Graves and husband, Dr. Rea of Little Rock, Judy Ann Bullock and husband, Wayne of Rocky Mount, NC; three grandchildren, Karl Hills and wife, Kathleen of Little Rock, Phillip Neuhart, of New York City, NY, Kristen Morgan and husband, Henry of South Korea, five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, including Jenny Dew, Carol Nusch and Nita Swearingen, of Mountain Home, AR.
