Funeral Services for Kathryn Gritters of Mountain Home will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2007, at the Schroeder-Laur Funeral Home Chapel in Lansing, Illinois. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the Funeral Home. Kathryn Gritters died Monday January 1, 2007 at her residence. She was 72. Kathryn Gritters was born December 30, 1934 at Lansing, Illinois to Albert and Janette Slager Derks. She married Egbert Gritters on December 3, 1975 at Munster, Indiana. Kathryn was a Secretary and Bus Driver for the Kickert Bus Lines for 17 years. She moved to Mountain Home in 1996 from Del Rio, Texas. She is a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Kathryn Gritters is survived by her husband Ed of Mountain Home, two daughters Sandra (Bruce) Slazyk and Tammie (Tom) Burke both of Lansing, Illinois, 9 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, 3 brothers; Milton (Hassie) Derks of Lansing, Illinois, Albert (Shirley) Derks of Port Charolette, Florida and Robert (Eleanor) Derks of Lansing, Illinois, 2 sisters; Helen DeKock of DeMott, Indiana and Janell Regnerus of McBain, Michigan and one Sister-in-Law Catherine Derks of Lansing Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son; Brent Freehauf and one brother Richard Derks. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
