Kay Boor of Flippin, Arkansas, passed away October 7, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 88. She was born September 23, 1936, in Nitro, West Virginia, the daughter of Elmer Lee and Sally May Harris Trout. She attended West Virginia University and earned her Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education. Kay married John Boor on September 7, 1957, in Nitro, West Virginia. The couple lived in many places, including, Venezuela, Lybia, and Scotland. Wherever they went, Kay cared for the home and raised up their family. In 1995, Kay and John moved to Bull Shoals, Arkansas and made the Twin Lakes Area their home. Kay was always an avid reader and enjoyed watching the birds. She also loved the company of her cats.
Kay is survived by her son, Stephen (Angie Goodman) Boor of Flippin, AR; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, James Bradford Harris; sister, Judith Ann Bender; and children, Daniel Boor, and Libby Boor.
A Graveside Service for Kay will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum Open-Air Chapel, with Reverend Dan Schmidt officiating.
