Kay Burke

A Graveside Service for Kay Delores Burke of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, September 13, 2013, at Mars Hill Cemetery, Crane, Missouri with Lavern Ragain officiating.
Kay Delores (Johnson) Burke went home to her heavenly father Sept 9, 2013. Kay was born January 16, 1948 in Wabash, Indiana to the late Robert and Mae (Wright) Johnson.

Kay graduated from Southwood High School in 1966. She attended Manchester College for four years before moving to AR.

She married William "Larry" Burke at Norfolk, AR May 28, 1977. He proceeded her in death, July 19, 2013.

Kay was the office manager for Dr. Simon Abraham before opening her own real estate agency, Burke's Century 21. She was honored with several prestigious awards on the local and state level and was on numerous boards and committees while in the real estate business.
She attended Emmanuel Church in Mountain Home.

Kay enjoyed collecting recipes,reading her bible and staying in contact with her family in Indiana. She especially loved spending time with her two dogs, Buddy and Patches who gave her so much love, comfort and joy.

She is survived by two sisters, Roberta Haynes of Marion, IN and Donna (Joe) Schneider of Wabash, IN. Also surviving her are her nephews, Mike Swango of Wabash, IN, Robert Reynolds of Marion, IN and Paul (Maria) Reynolds of Indianapolis, IN; niece, Mayanne Johnson Marion of IN; step-niece, Ericka Cain of Wabash, IN; great-nieces, Jamie Purvis and Cassidy Reynolds of Marion, IN, Jessica Aust of Muncie, IN and Heather Galvan of Little Rock, AR and great-nephews, James Johnson of Anderson, IN, Josh Reynolds of Marion, IN and Matthew and Michael Swango of Wabash, IN.

She is survived by her close friends, Steven and Victoria Armontrout of Mountain Home and Laverne and Janice Ragain of Oklahoma.

She was also proceeded in death by her step-daughter, Lari Anne Peters.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
