Kenneth James Carter Sr. (Jim), 82, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012, with family by his side. Graveside services will be at 11AM Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska. A visitation will be from 4-6PM Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals, AR. Jim was born August 17, 1930, to Earnest and Stella Carter of Omaha, Nebraska. He married LaDona Jean Heintz on November 17, 1951. He is survived by four children: Kenneth James Carter Jr. of Omaha, NE, Larry Jay Carter of Morganton, N.C, LaDonna ?Dee? Jean Skinner and Theodore Jacob Carter, both of Bull Shoals, AR; six grandchildren, Anthony Saglime, of Mississippi, Jacquelyn Richardson and Jeffery Morrow of NC, William Morrow, Eric Carter and Deidre Hogue of Nebraska; brother, William Carter of Nebraska and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Raymond and sister, Barbara. Jim worked at Vickers Hydraulics for forty years in Omaha, NE. He was a Cub Scout Leader and coached softball games in his early years in Omaha. He liked to fish, make his own lures, bowl, and camp among other hobbies. Jim moved to Arkansas in 2003, and volunteered for the Humane Society of Mountain Home.
