A visitation for Kenneth L. Darr, 73, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with a Celebration of Life service at 7:00 p.m. Dr. Mike Shy will officiating.
He died Sunday at his residence. Kenneth was born May 5, 1938, in Monette, AR, the son of Verl Thomas and Alice Louise Smith Darr. He married Helen Crawley on April 24, 1964, at Reyno, Arkansas. He worked as a carpet layer. Kenneth Darr was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Kenneth lived in Mountain Home for 33 years moving from Corning, AR. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church.
Kenneth is survived by his wife: Helen Darr of Mountain, Home, one son: Tommy (Joanne) Darr of Mountain Home, one daughter; Tresa (Rusty) Johnson of Gulf Breeze, FL, 4 grandchildren; Tori Darr, Hunter Darr, Nicholas Johnson and Samantha Johnson, 3 brothers; Leonard (Mercy) Darr of Mountain Home, Sidney (Shirley) McFarland of Corning, Larry (Sheila) Darr of Mountain Home, 2 Sisters; Mary (Jerry) Pelts of Mountain Home and Norma Jo (C.J.) White of Corning.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Dennis McFarland and one sister; Marjorie Cozad.
Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Nelson Cemetery in Reyno, AR.
Memorials may be made to the family.
