Kenneth Doran departed this life on September 13, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 87. He was born January 6, 1931, in Niles, Ohio, the son of Bernard and Florencce White Doran. Upon graduation from Niles High School, Ken was hired at Youngstown Sheet and Tube as a chemical analyst. He was a United Steel Workers Union Representative and militant union member of the Local 1462. In 1951, Ken enlisted in the United States Army for 3 years. He was discharged as a Corporal from the 82nd Airborne. In 1978 Ken retired from YST and began working as a "carney" traveling to county fairs in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, painting and selling airbrushed t-shirts. Later, he turned his talents to woodcarving and traveled the country selling his carvings at flea markets and craft shows. Ken enjoyed traveling and his family. At home, his favorite activity was watching and betting horse racing via the computer and enjoying the music jams in the area.
Ken will be missed by his wife, Marcia Doran of Mountain Home, AR; his children Kimberly, Victor, Marni, and Kevin, also six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
