Kent Leroy Godding, Sr., age 71, passed away approximately July 4, 2012 in Gassville, Ark. Kent was born May 2, 1941 in Imperial, Nebraska. Graduated from Brentwood, CA high school lived in Seattle, Washington. Kent served two years in the Army and was deployed to Germany.
Kent loved California, raised his family and had a career in law enforcement there. He loved education and contributed much to teachers.
Preceded in death by his son, Damien Ronald Godding; infant sister, Sandra Louanne Godding (born 5-14-1943, passed away 11-19-1943); sister, Cheryl Lynn Godding Valenciano; half brother, Brent Edward Godding; half brother, Glenn Newton Simpkins; father, Albert Leroy Godding; step-mother Thelma Godding and step-father, Newton Hamilton Simpkins.
Survived by son, Kent Jr.; daughters, Kelly and Crystal; grandchildren; mother, Agnes Simpkins; 1 brother and half siblings, Gina, Mark, Nancy and David.
Services are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
