Laddie Petranek was born July 10, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of George and Josephine Sobehrad Petranek. He married Barbara E. Schwartz, September 18, 1905, in Chicago, Illinois. He was employed in the structural steel construction business. He moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas from Berwyn, Illinois in 1979. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, Jolly Czech Club, Czech American Club; and he loved his dogs, traveling, and living in Arkansas. Mr. Petranek was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Laddie Petranek passed away January 19, 2006, at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 9 days.
