Larry Kirby

Mr. Kirby passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007 in his home. Larry Wayne Kirby was born January 16, 1941, at Champaign, IL, to Wayne and Shirley Kirby. He graduated from Unity High School in Tolono, IL. He moved to Midway in 1965. He was a 30-year member of Twin City Eagles in Midway. Larry was a former counselor for the Mormon Church. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1965. Survivors: his children; Kandace (Wesley) Kearns, of Springfield, MO, Wayne E. Kirby, of Deerfield Beach, FL, Diane (Sean) Klohn, of Mansfield, MO, Erik (Crystal) Kirby, of Lincoln, NE, Daniel (Angie) Kirby, of Phoenix, AZ, Jared (Carol) Kirby, of New York City, and Amie Kirby, of Twin Cities, MN, sister Carol Zook, of Fischer, IL, 2 brothers, Thomas Kirby, of Illinois, William Kirby, of Georgia, 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: his father, Wayne, and stepmother Madonna Kirby, of Midway and his mother, Shirley Seaman, of Champaign, IL. Visitation: 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral: 7:30 p.m. Wednesday August 1, 2007 at Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services with Jared Kirby officiating. A Memorial service will be held in honor and celebration of Larry and Linda's life at the Grapevine Restaurant at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007.
