Lauren Susan Sandstrom, 66, a resident of Mountain Home, Arkansas for 30 years, passed away August 3, 2016. A Memorial Service will be 10:30 am, Saturday, September 24, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Vince Daniel officiating.
Lauren was born December 28, 1949 in Racine, Wisconsin to Albert and Lorraine Klapat. She graduated from St. Catherine's Catholic High School in 1968. Lauren was a wife, a mother and a homemaker, as well as a customer service representative for many years at Sears. Her passion was art. She was also a freelance artist and once served as Director of Hill Country Art Gallery in Mountain Home.
Lauren was loved by family and many friends. She is survived by two daughters; Michelle (Bert) Rodgers of Ozark, MO and Debra (Dan) Haines of Naples, FL; one son, Joseph Leskowicz of Mountain Home, AR; first husband and father of her children, James Leskowicz; three grandchildren, Megan and Ashley Rodgers and Corbin Leskowicz; brother, John (Judy) Klapat of Wauwatosa, WI and two sisters, Mary Jane (Ralph) Lorentzen of Racine, WI and Janice (Steen) Larsen of Racine, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Sandstrom (married in 1991) and sister, Ruth Klapat.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
