Laverne Thom

Laverne Mae Thom was born October 27, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of Florence Smith. She married Charles Thom on August 7, 1992 at Kenosha, Wisconsin. She worked as a secretary for the Government and was a US Army Air Corp veteran of WWII. She had lived in Lakeview since moving from Highland Park, Illinois in 1997. Mrs. Thom was a member of the Women's Army Corps, Clerk Typist #405, American Legion in Lakeview, past Commander and First Lady Past Commander of 10th district out of Lake County, Illinois, Lakeview Lions and a member of Christ By The Lake Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Alter Guild.
