March 25, 1926 — June 10, 2019

A Funeral Service for Lavina F. "Granny" Rich of Henderson, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, June 14, 2019, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Barry Lagg officiating. Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2019, from 1:00 pm until service time, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Alva Memorial Cemetery in Alva, Oklahoma, with Pastor Ron Crow officiating.

Lavina passed away June 10, 2019, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 93. She was born March 25, 1926, in Canton, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Mabel Rogers Rose. She married Bill Sievers on June 7, 1944, in Medford, Oklahoma, and together had a son and daughter. Bill passed away in 1964. On November 5, 1967, she married Thomas Rich in Alva, Oklahoma. Thomas passed away in 1993. Lavina lived in Henderson since moving from Neosho, Missouri, in 2013. She was a baptized and became a member of the First Baptist Church, in Diamond, Missouri and attended First Baptist Church of Mountain Home, Arkansas. She enjoyed needlework, painting, gardening, and fishing.

Lavina is survived by her daughter, Judy (Bill) Black of Henderson, AR; step-son, Ron Rich of Greensburg, KS; step-daughter, Carol Hamblin of Lewis, KS; brother, Roger (Stella) Rose of Okeene, OK; three sisters, Corine Ross of Springer, OK, Rosalie Hatfield of Council Bluffs, IA, and Betty Bowman of Collinsville, OK; seven grandchildren, Bronson Sievers, Leah Cannon, Heather Purk, Brian Williams, Morgan Black, Marilee Griffin, and Crystalee Danko; many friends, including, Ron (Roberta) Seiler of Haviland, KS, Mark (Audrey) Durks of Greensburg, KS; two special nieces, Deb Ferrall and Donna Brown; and a host of extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; son, Leon Sievers; step-son, Dean Rich; seven brothers, Mart Rose, Floyd Rose, Everitt Rose, Donald Rose, Carl Rose, Richard Rose, and Charlie Rose; and two sisters, Dorothy Young and Hope Ferrall.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services - Mountain Home, Arkansas.
