A Memorial Mass for Lawrence David Kanturek of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Friday, May 5, 2017, at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church, with Father Norbert Rappold as Celebrant.
Larry passed away April 29, 2017, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 60. He was born August 9, 1956, in Alton, Illinois, the son of Clarence and Mary Ann Nekola Kanturek. He worked as an I.T. Trouble Shooter for Haliburton. Larry lived in Lakeview since 2007, moving from Houston, Texas. He was a member of the Naturals and sang tenor. He was also a member of the Lakeview Community Center and the Bull Shoals Library, working in their I.T. Department.
Larry is survived by his parents, Clarence and Mary Ann Kanturek of Lakeview, AR; six brothers, Perry Kanturek of Toronto, Canada, Andy (Julie) Kanturek of Carol Stream, IL, Sam Kanturek of Alton, IL, Tim (Sarah) Kanturek of Alton, IL, Chris (Missy) Kanturek of Grafton, IL and Alex (Helen) Kanturek of Rydal, GA; five sisters, Elaine (George) Vincent of Fort Worth, TX, Patricia (Rob) Meyers of Jonesburg, MO, Cyndi (Derrick) Hargus of Alton, IL, Emily (Steve) Rice of Bunker Hill, IL and Lori (Jerry) Williams of Riverton, IL; many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Sally Stockbower of Houston, TX.
A Scattering of Ashes Ceremony will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to the Bull Shoals Library.
