Lawrence "Larry" Neal O'Meara

Funeral Services for Lawrence "Larry" Neal O'Meara of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Friday, December 28, 2018, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Norbert Rappold officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2018, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.

Larry passed away December 22, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80. He was born November 15, 1938, in Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of Robert and Betty Shriner O'Meara. Larry was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He served aboard the USS Boxer and the USS Princeton in the Philippines, Japan and China. He lived in Mountain Home, since moving from Nebraska, in 2008. In his youth, he was a paper boy, an altar boy, and a Boy Scout. Larry was a member of the V.F.W, the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans.

Larry is survived by his son, Fred Kauer, of Florida; two daughters, Michelle McMullen, of Mississippi and Micaela Patrick, of Mississippi; and two brothers, Dan O'Meara and Dennis O'Meara, both of Lincoln, NE.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Melina Gertsch.

Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park, Lincoln, Nebraska. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion.
