Lawrence Fredrick Metz

Lawrence Fredrick (Koenig) Metz of Yellville, Arkansas, passed away May 6, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 70. He was born June 2, 1951, in Redfield, South Dakota, the son of Lawrence and Helen Marie McAdams Koenig. He married Marylyn Metz on September 21, 2007. Lawrence was a U.S. Army veteran and lived in Yellville for 30 years, since moving from Buffalo, Kansas. He worked in the oil field for many years before opening his own mechanic shop. Lawrence enjoyed family gatherings, traveling together, and spending his retirement on the farm with his wife.

Lawrence is survived by his sisters; Dee (Joseph) Lee of Buffalo, KS, Elizabeth Jones of Buffalo, KS, and Judy Garcia of Welsville, KS; brothers, Kenny Koenig of Buffalo, KS, Pat Joyce of Buffalo, KS, Dean Joyce of Buffalo, KS, and Ronnie Decker of Buffalo, KS; daughters, Lucinda Koenig, Stephanie Koenig, and Lucretia Koenig; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marylyn Metz; brother, Mike Joyce; and son, Lawrence Francis Koenig.
