Lawrence "Larry" Dale Sackett

Graveside Services for Lawrence "Larry" Dale Sackett will be 3:00pm, Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Deland Memorial Gardens in Deland, Florida. A Gathering of Friends will follow at the Sorosis Club in Orange City, Florida.

Lawrence "Larry” Dale Sackett was born in Delhi, New York on May 12 1946, and is the husband of Alma Sackett. He was born on his parent’s farm and lived there until his family moved to Florida, where he married Joyce Carter. There were two daughters, Sherry Adams and Karen Getman from this union. Karen and Rob have two children: Andrew Perone and Amber Bushmann; Sherry and Danny Adams have two children: Danielle Adams and Shianne Adams. Larry was an avid bike rider and completed several solo trips from Florida to New York State. His occupation was a carpenter in the DeLand area most of his life. He married Alma in the 90’s and gained a step son, and a daughter in law Melanie Kuhl. Melanie and Hagen have two children Kylee Smith and Luke Kuhl. Nine years ago the couple, Larry and Alma moved to Yellville, Arkansas where Larry worked for Wal- Mart. He retired from this job 3 years ago and maintained their 41 acres. Larry has a brother, Tom Sackett and a sister, Marcia Morse still living.
