Lee Fischer

Services for Lee Edward Fischer, 93, of Mountain Home will be private. Mr. Fischer died Thursday, January 18, 2007, at Baxter Regional Medical Center. Lee Edward Fischer was born July 8, 1913, in Riverside, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as an aviation radio technician. Mr. Fischer retired from the DuPont plant in Schaumburg, Illinois, and moved to Mountain Home in 1999 from Downers Grove, Illinois. He is survived locally by his sister, Janeth Murphy; his sister, Virginia (Walter) Geery; his brother, Glenn (Jean) Fischer; his sister, Pauline (Richard) Geery; a brother-in-law, Alois Polhorsky; and a nephew, Walter (Robbie) Geery. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Hanke; his sister, Nancy Polhorsky; his brother-in-law Robert Hanke; and his brother-in-law Frank Murphy. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park, Illinios.
