A Memorial service for Lee Grover Johnson of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 3:00 P.M. Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Kirby and Family Funeral Home Chapel , with Dr. David Johnson officiating. Mr. Lee G. Johnson, 91, of Mountain Home, AR, a B-24 Navigator, 1st Lt., for the 8th Army Air Corp. stationed in England, 1944. He was shot down over France and became a POW at ?Stalag Luft 1? Barth, Germany until liberated in May, 1945. Mr. Johnson became a successful business owner in California prior to his retirement in 1984. A native of Van Buren, Arkansas, Mr. Johnson settled in Mountain Home until his passing July 8th 2010, He leaves his wife of 67 years, Marguerite, son Randon of CA, daughters Linda of AR and Meredith of AZ, also to include, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 sisters and one brother. He is preceded in death by his grandson David, 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Memorials may be made to the Altzheimers Association. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
