A Funeral Mass for Lena M Berns of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church, with Reverend Father Christopher Okeke, as Celebrant. Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Lena passed away December 18, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 84. She was born November 8, 1932, in Hancock, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph and Giconda Barabrasi Cartocci. She married Joseph N. Berns on November 27, 1952, at Chicago, Illinois. Lena lived in Mountain Home since moving from Chicago, Illinois, in 1987. She was a member of the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and she enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, working in her yard, boating, and cooking.
Lena is survived by her sister, Edith Donati of Chicago, IL; two nephews, Frank and Joseph; two nieces, Ann Marie and Nancy; and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Angeline Santoni.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
