Leonard Stroehl

A Funeral Mass for Leonard Ervin Stroehl of Lakeview, Arkansas, will be 10:00AM Saturday, July 17, 2010 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with Reverend Stan Swiderski officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM, Friday at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with a Vigil Service at 7:00PM.

Leonard died Monday, July 12, 2010 at Mountain Home at the age of 91. He was born October 11, 1918 in Lidgerwood, ND, the son of Joseph and Lena Loll Stroehl. He married Pearl H. Paulewicz on October 5, 1946 at Chicago and worked as a Railroad Car Repairman for Grand Trunk Western. Leonard Stroehl was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He lived in Lakeview, Arkansas since 1975 moving from Burbank, Illinois and was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and the Polish American Social Club.

Leonard is survived by his brother, Earl Stroehl of Sun City, AZ; sister, Marie Jensvold of Lidgerwood, ND and several nieces and nephews, and his close friends Tom and Helen Elder.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery with Roger Gonzagowski, Edward Moranz, George Murphy, Brian Schwartz, Paul Schwarz and Robert Lammers as pallbearers. Military honors will be by the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246.

Memorials may be made to St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church.
