Leslie Brumfield died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 in Yellville at the age of 85. Leslie Brumfield was born Monday, February 19, 1923 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, the son of George and Nellie Lieth Brumfield. He married Nancy Lee Welch on July 16, 1962 at Nashville, Tennessee and worked as a Elementary Teacher for the Public Schools. Leslie Brumfield was a veteran of WWII was a life member of Hoevel-Barnett Post 1341. Survivors: Leslie Brumfield is survived by his son, John (Diane) Brumfield of Flippin, AR, 4 daughters, Cathy McDaniel of Bull Shoals, AR, Becky Carson of Flippin, AR, Janet (Curtis) Rorie of Flippin, AR and Julie (John) Tate of Flippin, AR, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and his brother-in-law, Richard Welch of Bull Shoals, AR. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by parents, wife and 2 brothers. Funeral: Graveside services for Leslie Dowen Brumfield of Yellville, AR, will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
