A Funeral Service for Leslie Turner Spitzer of Yellville, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Friday, February 10, 2012, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Joe McCormick, officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, February 9, 2012, at the funeral home.
Leslie passed away February 4, 2012, in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 50. He was born August 10, 1961, in Stockton, California, the son of E.T. and Betty McCormick Spitzer. He married Angel Cardwell on June 3, 2000, at Mountain Home, Arkansas and worked as a mechanic for a mower service. Leslie lived in Arkansas since 1977 moving from Stockton, California. He was a member of the Mountain Home Church of Christ and enjoyed hunting fishing small engine and car repair and was involved with the Boy Scouts.
Leslie is survived by his wife, Angel Spitzer of Wideman, AR; 5 sons, Charles (Autumn) Spitzer of Berryville, AR, Clarence (Julieann) Spitzer of Mountain Home, AR, George Spitzer of Fayetteville, AR, Sean Davis of Ft. Euctis, VA and Zachary Cardwell of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Stephine Davis of Mountain Home, AR; mother and step-father, Betty and Dennis Lester of Yellville, AR, father and step-mother, E.T. and Mary Spitzer of Stockton, CA, 5 grandchildren and 9 brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Madge and Clarence Moses.
Burial will be in the Pontiac Cemetery, Pontiac, Missouri, with Charles Spitzer, Clarence Spitzer, George Spitzer, Sean Davis, Michael Lester and Dennis Lester as pallbearers. Albert Moses and Zachary Cardwell will be honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
