A visitation for Linda Kay Alquist of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Kirby Funeral Home. Mrs. Alquist died Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the age of 69.
Linda was born August 6, 1941 in Glenwood, Iowa, the daughter of Merle and Eleanor Augustine Brown Telford. She married Leo Clinton Alquist on December 26, 1961 at Seattle, Washington. She worked as a production worker for Tyson Foods. Linda lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas for 12 years moving from Cleghorn, Iowa. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, reading and sewing.
Linda is survived by one son - Jerry (Kelli) Alquist of Dolph, AR; 2 daughters - Julie (Mark) Berg of Lino Lakes, MN, and Desiree Hicks of Flippin, AR; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; and one brother - Tom (Lucy) Telford of Mountain Home, AR.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Clinton Alquist, and her parents. Burial will be at a later date in the Liberty Cemetery, in Liberty, Iowa.
