Linda Lee McCloud of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away July 28, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 70. She was born September 3, 1953, in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Norma Powell Cole. Linda was a U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force veteran and worked as a mail clerk during her time in service. After her military career, Linda spent time in one of her favorite places, Italy. Linda loved living in Shenandoah Valley, and enjoyed playing softball and spending time with her buddies at the VFW. In May of 2022, Linda relocated to Mountain Home, Arkansas. She liked to spend her time at The Mill, harassing old and young men (her words). Above all, Linda loved her family.

Linda is survived by her brother, R. Andrew (Thanit) Cole of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Elizabeth A. Taylor of Elizabeth, AR; first husband, Lee Childers of GA; son, Christopher Childers of GA; stepson, Colt McCloud of Shenandoah Valley, VA; stepdaughter, Nicole McCloud of Shenandoah Valley, VA; good friends, Corey Lamprecht of Mountain Home, AR, and Kim Jarrad of VA; nephews, Will Cole, Michael Cole, Scott Taepken, Nick Deiss, and Joey Cole; nieces, Julie Cole, Ee Cole, Lindsey Petefish, and Katelin Cole; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stan McCloud; parents; siblings, Richard J. Cole, Pamela S. Heid, Larry D. Cole, Patrick M. Cole, and James D. Cole; and her faithful Papillon companion, Zoey.
