Linda Nighbert of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away October 7, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 78. She was born March 2, 1943, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the daughter of Norman and Mary (Shovers) Grotsky. She married Michael on February 1, 1969 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and they spent 52 wonderful years together. Linda enjoyed baking, cooking, bird watching, and collecting figurines. She was an amazing photographer. She was a very active volunteer within the community as an auxiliary member of the American Legion Alley-White post #52, Gideon's Auxiliary, Disabled American Veteran's, and the Buford Fire Department Auxiliary. Linda was also an Avon and Tupperware sales representative. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church. Linda was a fantastic wife, mother, grandmother who loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed.
Linda is survived by her husband, Michael C. Nighbert of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Michelle R. (Lou) Dykstra, of Indiana; sons, Christopher P. Nighbert, of Indiana, and James E. (Sherri) Nighbert, of Georgia; and grandchildren, Katherine Dykstra, Nicholas Dykstra, Harley Nighbert, Lita Noel Nighbert, Taylor Nighbert, Bryce Nighbert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Alan Grotsky.
A Memorial Service for Linda will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Richard Crawford officiating.
