Linda Dacus Watt of Norfork, Arkansas, passed away May 8, 2021, in Norfork, Arkansas at the age of 75. She was born July 16, 1945, in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Benjamin and Mary Weaver Dacus. She married Russell on May 26, 1990, in Conway, Arkansas. She worked as a Teacher for the University of Memphis, Memphis School District, Little Rock and North Little Rock School District in special education, Arkansas State Department of Education. Linda has lived in Norfork since moving from Memphis, TN in 1998. She is a well-respected member of the Arkana Baptist Church. She enjoyed her hobbies of working with the backpack program, traveling, fishing and supported the local school sports and booster clubs.
Linda is survived by her husband Russell Watt of Norfork, AR; sons, Chris (Terri) Crider of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Michael Watt of Lakeland, TN, daughters; Susan (Larry) Word of Hernando, MS and Teresa (Greg) Norris of Bartlett, TN, grandchildren; Hailey, Abbey, and Kipper Crider of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Josh and Lydia Word of Hernando, MS, and Parker and Mallory Norris of Bartlett, TN.
She was preceded in death by her; parents, brothers; Stanley and Tad Dacus.
A Celebration of Life for Linda will be at the Arkana Baptist Church, Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 2:00 pm. with Reverend Shannon Byrd and Reverend Keith Byrd officiating. Due to current restrictions, masks are required.
Memorials may be made to Alzhiemers Association.
