Lynn (Miller) Willett was born on July 29, 1958, in Ravenna, Ohio, to Chaplain Paul Miller and Helen (Vogan) Miller. She was the youngest of five sisters and three brothers.
Lynn enjoyed her childhood in Ohio, where her family resided in a large white two story house with fruit trees out back and lined with beautiful, arched trees along the street. Her father gifted her first Barbie doll to her there at the age of five for her good behavior at the dentist, and she fondly remembered having chickenpox alongside her brother, Craig.
At the age of ten, Lynn faced new challenges when her family relocated to a rough neighborhood in Southern California, complicating her childhood and teenage years. She lived there for twenty years, during which she married the father of her children. However, the marriage ended in separation a decade later, leaving her to navigate life as a single parent. Lynn worked hard to provide for her children, demonstrating her deep love for them through her attentive care. She created a warm and nurturing home, complete with homemade cakes for birthdays, elaborate Easter baskets, Christmas crafts, and costumes she sewed herself. Her home-cooked meals and commitment to their well-being reflected her dedication as a mother. Lynn lived life to the fullest, making friends wherever she went and embracing the joys of the ocean and all of the fun things to do there.
In 1988, Lynn and her children moved to Arkansas to be closer to her parents, who had been called to spread the gospel in Mountain Home. There, she continued to meet new people, forming lasting friendships, and eventually remarried. Known for her joyful spirit, Lynn brought laughter and warmth to those around her. She was exceptionally considerate, demonstrating kindness and love without reservation. Her favorite pastimes included walking, dancing, and spending time with others. She also enjoyed the great outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking, and going to the lake. Lynn's profound love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was a cornerstone of her life. Her legacy will be one of forgiveness, love and the importance of enjoying life.
Lynn is survived by her sisters, Joyce (Hood) Clemenson of Branson, Missouri, Mary Lou (Miller) Custodio of Quartz Hill, California, Carol (Miller) Southwick of Titusville, Pennsylvania; and her brother, Michael Miller (Jeannie Miller) of California, along with sister-in-law Sunny Miller. She leaves behind her three children, Jackie (Miller) Scalise (Chris Scalise) of Mountain View, Missouri, Jeremi Witt (Brandi (Shrable) Witt) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Joshua Witt (Kandice (Ferrell) Witt) of Mountain Home, Arkansas. Her grandchildren include Angel (Adkins) Lanoy (Matthew Lanoy) of Layton, Utah, Megan (Adkins) Arana (Ben Arana) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Justin Adkins of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Christian Adkins (Lacey (Andrews) Adkins) of Mountain View, Missouri, and Chandler and Serenity Scalise of Joliet, Illinois, along with Landon, Makenzie, and Noah Witt of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Brytlee Burroughs and Nakoa Witt of Mountain Home, Arkansas. She also had great-grandchildren, Alissa and Noah Lanoy, Haylee and Hadley Fields, and Oliver Lanoy of Layton, Utah, and Aspen Mae Adkins of Mountain View, Missouri, in addition to many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
