Lois Mae Bartels was born on July 17, 1913 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Henry A. and Erna Ericksen Digman. Lois Carveth married the late Roy Emil Bartels on April 16, 1990. She moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas from Green Lake, Wisconsin in 1976. Mrs. Bartels was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church. Lois Mae Bartels passed away at Baxter Regional Medical Center on January 3, 2005 at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 16 days. Survivors: Two sons, Peter C. Carveth of Mountain Home, Arkansas and John W. Carveth of Lakewood, Colorado; one daughter, Audrey Ellis of Perryville, Arkansas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and one step daughter-in-law, Nancy Bartels of Quincy, Illinois Preceded in Death by: Her parents; first husband, Gerald A. Carveth; second husband, Roy Emil Bartels, and four brothers Visitation: Thursday, January 6, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel Funeral: First United Methodist Church on Friday, January 7 at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Russell Moore will officiate.
