Lois Dudgeon

Funeral Services for Lois Marie Dudgeon of Gamaliel, Arkansas, will be private. Lois passed away July 9, 2012, in Gamaliel, Arkansas at the age of 87. She was born March 7, 1925, in Hinsdale, Illinois, the daughter of Albert and Elva Witzigerreuter Kirsch. She married Albert Dudgeon on September 29, 1945, at Westmont, Illinois. She and Albert separated in 1960. Lois worked in the Du Page, Illinois, County Clerk's Office for 12 years, and was in charge of plats and maps. Lois lived in Gamaliel, Arkansas since 1979, moving from Wheaton, Illinois. She was a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary #3246 for 29 years; 10 years in Mountain Home, Arkansas, and 19 years in Wheaton, Illinois. Lois is survived by two sons, Mike Dudgeon of Gamaliel, AR, and Dan (Judy) Dudgeon of Acton, MA; two daughters, June (Jerry) Rowlett of Gainesville, MO, and Judy (Kerry) Lane of Benton, AR; eight grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Delbert Kirsch. Burial will be in the Clarendon Hill Cemetery, Westmont, Illinois, at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Dr., Mountain Home, AR 72653. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
