Loita M. Singleton

Loita Maria Singleton of Marmaduke and Mountain Home, Arkansas passed on to Glory to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ August 2, 2013. Loita was
Born August 22, 1928 to Reverend John Logan and Fannie Bell (Richardson)
Pinkston. Reverend Pinkston was a circuit riding preacher who served many Baptist congregations in the early 1900s.

Preceeding Loita in death were her parents, a sister Veldina Pinkston and a brother James Leon Pinkston for whom she was a caregiver for over 30 years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Billy Pruett Singleton of the home and her sister Geneva Smith and family of San Antonio, Texas, a son: Larry Joe and Brenda Singleton, grandson Todd and Tracy Singleton and their children, Kyle, Logan and Courtney all of Paragould and grandson: Jonathon Singleton of Mountain Home, a daughter, Theresa and Paul Jaques, granddaughter: Shanna and Richard Payne and their children, Emily, Allison and Levi, grandson: Matt and Amber Sutton, their son Pruett all of Mountain Home, grandson: Zachary and Brittany Sutton of Springfield, MO and grandson, Kyle Jaques of Mountain Home.

Loita was retired from Emerson Electric and lived her life helping her husband on the farm and caring for her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Marmaduke. Her greatest gift was her spirit of servitude to those she loved most.

Visitation will be Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Irby Funeral Home in Marmaduke from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m at the First Baptist Church in Marmaduke. Interment will be at the Hartsoe Cemetery in Marmaduke.
