Lorenzo Maldonado

Lorenzo P. Maldonado of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away March 15, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80. He was born July 30, 1944, in Hanover, New Mexico, the son of Maximilliano and Delores Remegio Maldonado. He worked as a dispatcher in trucking before moving from California to Mountain Home, Arkansas in 2004. He married Barbara Cowart on March 20, 2023, at the Clarkridge Church of Christ. Lorenzo grew up in the Catholic Church and in recent years, attended the Clarkridge Church of Christ. He enjoyed singing karaoke and bowling. He especially loved to volunteer and collect food for the Food Basket. Above all, Lorenzo loved his family, and was always telling them just how much he did.

Lorenzo is survived by his wife, Barbara Maldonado of Mountain Home, AR; children, Anthony (Mary) Moldonado of CA, Lorraine Wimpey of CA, and Kimberly Maldonado of CA; sisters, Frances Rios and her husband of CA, and Lucy Rodriquez of CA; brother, Flavio Maldonado of AZ; stepdaughters, Jill (Rich Demonbreun) Wakenight of Mountain Home, AR, Julie Jones of Mountain Home, AR, and Olivia Wakenight of Mountain Home, AR; grandchildren, Brandon Sutterfield of Mountain Home, AR, Brittany (Daniel) Barker of Mountain Home, AR and Laci Garner of Gassville, AR; great-grandchildren, Aundreya Barker, Aedyn Barker, and Althea Barker.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Lorenzo P. Maldonado, Jr.

A Memorial Service for Lorenzo will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Clarkridge Church of Christ, Lloyd Camp officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until service time.
