A Funeral Service for Loretta H. Bierhanzel of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Kenneth Taglauer officiating.
Loretta passed away December 4, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 96. She was born September 9, 1917, in Cecil, Wisconsin, the daughter of Charles and Alvina Abrahams Karstedt. She married Frank Bierhanzel on August 27, 1946, at Chicago, Illinois. Loretta lived in Mountain Home since 1980, moving from Chicago, Illinois. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard.
Loretta is survived locally by her niece, Pat and Larry Cassidy of Mountain Home, AR. and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters; Erna James and Meta Rueckert; brother, Louis Karstedt.
Burial will be in the Baxter Memorial Gardens, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
