Loretta Dee Crapnell of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away November 13, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 84. She was born January 1, 1937, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and Carolyn Hoagland. She married Don on February 1, 1959, in Alton, Illinois and was a Surgical Nurse. Dee lived in Mountain Home since moving from Huntington Beach, California, in 1996. She was a deeply involved member and deacon at First Presbyterian Church of Mountain Home, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She loved to bake, travel, and work at the Mountain Home Christian Clinic.
Dee is survived by her husband, Don William Crapnell of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, Mark (Zelma) Crapnell of Huntington Beach, CA, and David (Lisa) Crapnell of Stuart, FL; two sisters, Tamara (James) Larson of Perkasies, PA, and Joyce Horat of Kerrville, TX; two granddaughters, Colleen (Chad) Markowitz of Garden Grove, CA, and Tara (Brad Teaford) Crapnell of Huntington Beach, CA; and three great-grandchildren, Penelope Markowitz, Mickey Markowitz, and Billie Teaford. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Friday, November 19, 2021, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, November 20, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Mike Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Due to current restrictions, masks are required.
