Louis J. Voelker, 85, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, born Tuesday, May 22, 1928, in Troy, IL, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013.
Louis worked as a Lineman for Union Electric. He was a member of I.B.E.W. local #309 for 57 years. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church of Mountain Home, AR and a former Boy Scout member of Troop #586 in Fairview Heights, IL. He was a Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents Augustav and Agnes Gharet and brothers Frank Voelker and Fred Voelker
Surviving are his wife Joan Voelker of Mountain Home, Arkansas; children: Gary (Karen) Voelker of Freeburg, IL; Lynn (Daniel) Mills of Norfork, AR; Dean Voelker of Belleville, IL; 5 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Dennis Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Local arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
