Louise M. Barks

A Funeral Service for Louise May Barks of Gassville, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Friday, November 16, 2018, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Heather Marsalis, Celebrant officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, November 15, 2018, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.

Louise passed away November 10, 2018, in Gassville, Arkansas at the age of 89. She was born September 10, 1929, in Lutesville, Missouri, the daughter of Clarence and Lula Chadd McRill. She married Cletus Barks on October 21, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, and worked in insurance. Louise lived in the area since moving from Illinois in 1987. When she lived in Gamaliel, she was a member of the Gamaliel Girl's Club and the One-O-One Presbyterian Church.

Louise is survived by her daughter-in-law, Susan Barks of Mountain Home, AR; sister, Barbara (Tony) Scott of Michigan; two grandsons, Daniel (Sila) Barks and David (Kristin) Barks; and three great-grandchildren, Isaac, Remington, and Harley Barks.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David Barks; and her brothers and sisters.

Burial will be in the Maynard Bend Cemetery, Gamaliel, Arkansas.
