A Funeral Service for Lowayne Adele Wedge of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 6, 2019, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Keith Dodson officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 6, 2019, from 1:00 pm until service time, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Lowayne passed away November 30, 2019, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 89. She was born January 15, 1930, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the daughter of Roland and Marion Raymond Henningfield. She married Charles Wedge on June 18, 1949, in Racine, Wisconsin, and was a teacher's aid. Lowayne lived in Mountain Home since moving from Lake Villa, Illinois, in 1984. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #3246. She enjoyed playing Bingo and when she was younger, was active with the Red Hat Ladies Society.
Lowayne is survived by her son, Steve (Jackie Parnell) Wedge of Lakeview, AR; two daughters, Kathleen (Anthony) Hollech of Tomball, TX, and Barbie (Kenny) Bridger of Pierre, SD; sister, Valeita Crawford of Vancouver, WA; ten grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Rodney Henningfield; and great-grandson, Joseph Swartz.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Arkansas.
