Lucille "Lucy" Christy

Lois Lucille (Lucy) Weede Christy passed away November 13th, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 97. She was born at Bloomfield, Iowa, July 29th, 1917, the daughter of Oda R. and Martha Susan Francis Weede. She married Bill Christy September 12th, 1936. She worked in banking for 22 years. Upon retirement in 1980, they moved from Downers Grove, Illinois to Mountain Home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mountain Home and enjoyed working in the church, quilting and visiting "shut ins".

Lucy is survived by one son, Lynn (JoAnn) Christy; a daughter-in-law, Annette Christy both of Easley, SC; also four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Bill; son, Larry and three brothers.

Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, AR,with Danny Ponder, Tom Stasica, Jeff Christy, Mark Christy, Gary Powell, Billy Noonan and Ken Christy as pallbearers.

A Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until time of service.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.
