Mrs. Tollander died Wednesday, March 11, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 83. She was born Thursday, April 9, 1925 in Elmont, Missouri, daughter of Emil and Grace Ficke Hecht. She married Dale Tollander on February 12, 1994 at Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked a variety of jobs, but always took care of her home. Luella lived in Mountain Home since 1996 moving from Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a member of Twin Lakes Baptist Church, where she was active in the Senior Saints Ministry, baked bread for the home visitations, and was active on the Board of Visually Impaired Persons. Survivors: Luella Tollander is survived by her husband, Dale Tollander and son, Kenneth W. Webb, Sr. of Las Vegas, NV, brother, Don Hecht of Columbia, MO, sisters, Lois Mitchell of Richmond, KY, Norma Yelton of Columbia City, IN, and Anne Wofford of Bland, MO, 4 grandchildren, including grandson Kenneth (Tina) Webb II of Laughlin, NV and granddaughter Brandy (Tom) Wilkins of Olive Branch, MS, 5 great-grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews, and her loving church family. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation: Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Kirby and Family Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral Services for Luella C. Tollander of Mountain Home, AR, will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Twin Lakes Baptist Church, with Dr. Sam Bailey officiating. Burial: Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Memorials: Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House . Active Bearers: Jack Pepper, Joe Bailey, Roger Ball, Ron Pruitt, Ken Murray, Bill Camlie, Art Wallace and Tom Basye will be pallbearers.
