Luther White

Luther E. "Pete" White was born May 22, 1921 at Hardinville, Missouri. On November 3, 1925 he married Lorene Trivitt in Mountain Home and worked in his own retail business and farmed. Pete also worked on the Bull Shoals, Greers Ferry, Norfork, Canyon Ferry (Montana) and the Sam Rayburn (Texas) Dams as a concrete worker and superintendent. Pete was a member of the Concrete finishers Union in Springfield, Missouri. He attended the Mammoth Assembly of God Church in Mammoth, Missouri. He passed away on February 8, 2008 at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 21 days. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Lorene White and one Son, Lester (Roberta) White of Mountain Home, AR, Four Daughters, Edna (Wilbern) Uchtman of Howard's Ridge, MO, Linda (Bob) Watson of Howard's Ridge, MO, Barbara White of Howard's Ridge, MO, Beverly (Lonnie) Uchtman of Tecumseh, MO, Seven Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren. Preceded in Death by: His parents, two grandchildren, one brother and one sister. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. Funeral: A funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Gail Wooten and Joe Gaddy officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Howard's Ridge Cemetery in Howard's Ridge, Missouri. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Mountain Home American Legion Baseball program or the Howard's Ridge Cemetery Association.
