Lynn Howard Strother was born September 28, 1922 at Jackson County, Oklahoma to Homer Jake and Fannie Bell Fullerton Strother. He married Wanda at Mangum, Oklahoma on July 14, 1940 and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Ft. Smith, Arkansas in May 2001. He lived in North Little Rock prior to moving to Ft. Smith. He retired from Fred Jones Manufacturing Company as a Salesman and had served with the US Army during World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed activities with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed golfing. Survivors: He is survived by his wife Wanda; son Lane (Judy) Strother of Mountain Home; 3 daughters Lynda (Larry) Taylor of Pineville, Louisiana, Lana Hampton of Springdale, Arkansas, Leta (Keith) Jones of Little Rock, Arkansas; 2 brothers Zane Strother of Kingston, Oklahoma and Steve Strother of California; 10 Grandchildren Leslie, Lynn, Jodi, Megan, Mica, Ty, Cara, Holly, Kristin, and Margo; 9 Great Grandchildren Jake, Buck, Hannah, Drew, Joe, Alison, Elijah, Piper and Wyatt; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dale. Visitation: Visitation will be from 2:00 Â? 7:00 PM, Sunday, with family receiving friends from 2:00 Â? 4:00 PM. Funeral: Funeral service for Lynn Howard Strother of Mountain Home will be at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel on Monday at 2:00 P.M with Dr. Larry Taylor officiating. Burial: Burial will be in KirbyÂ?s Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Memorials: Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozasrks or Quachita Baptist University. Honorary Bearers: Honorary Pallbearers will be Adam & Eve Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church. Active Bearers: Lynn Taylor, Ty Hampton, Todd Gilbert, Tim Hicks, Clay Conly and Richard Tomichek as Pallbearers. Additional Notes: Arrangements are by Kirby-Boaz Funeral Directors.
