Mabelle Nelson

Mabelle Suter Nelson was born January 16, 1905 at Harpster, Illinois. The daughter of Samuel R. and Lucy Conrad Suter. She married Werick F. Nelson at Crawfordsville, Indiana on August 20, 1950. Mabelle worked as a Cost Billing Analyst at R.R. Donnelly Company for several years. She moved from Chicago in 1962 and purchased the Mockingbird Hill Gift Shop which she owned and operated until 1993. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She moved back to her hometown of Crawfordsville in 1999. Mabelle Suter Nelson entered into eternal rest at Rossville, Indiana on June 18, 2007 at the age of 102 years, 5 months and 2days. Survivors: Several nieces and nephews including Kay Delks of Rossville, Indiana, Father Tom Davis of Columbis, Indiana, Donna Tarpey of Chicago, Illinois, Kay Wendell Nelson of West Plains, Missouri, Chuck Nelson of Salem, Arkansas, and Jodi Nelson of Mountain Home, Arkansas and 1 sister-in-law Greta Davis of Columbus, Indiana. Preceded in Death by: Parents, Husband, 2 Sisters and 1 Brother. Visitation: June 21, 2007 12:30 p.m. until time of service (2p.m.) Funeral: Funeral Services will be at Kirby and Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Burial: Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home Memorials: First United Methodist Church
